Stormey Coleman was born into the hard streets of Southside Chicago, Illinois to Zella M. Brown & Harold M. Coleman.

Despite growing up in a loving and supportive family, rich in values Stormey encountered street life at a young age. He was routinely confronted with drug abuse, murder, and an unjust system that was crippling his community. Facing these challenges Stormeys family decided to move the family to Atlanta Georgia, home and birthplace of Martin Luther King Jr.

Atlanta, known as the gateway to the south, a region deeply rooted in racial tension, prejudice and inequality presented new challenges. Despite the aforementioned obstacles Atlanta presented a culture, sense of community & strong spiritual presence unlike anywhere else.

After losing childhood friend Brandon Williams to senseless gun violence after a school basketball game Stormey learned the power of words, and the difference he could make.
