In October 2002, he also joined ABC's "This Week with George Stephanopoulos" as an analyst on World affairs.

At 28, Fareed was appointed the Managing Editor of ‘Foreign Affairs’, and became the youngest editor in the history of this journal on international politics and economics.

He held this position for over seven years
